BLAIR FAMILY OF BLANDFORD
The Blandford Massachusetts Historical Society plans to honor Mary Powers, a Blair descendant and author of the “THE BLAIR FAMILY OF NEW ENGLAND REVISITED, BLANDFORD, MASSACHUSETTS, 2008” during our town’s 4-day 2025 Labor Day Fair. Given the fact that at least 30 early New England Blair family settlers are buried in our town’s cemeteries- including several Revolutionary War veterans, The Blandford Historical Society is willing to assist any members of the Blair family who might be interested in organizing some sort of Labor Day Weekend family reunion. Our Society owns Blandford’s 1822 iconic White Church building which is on the National Register. Several years ago, this building was the venue for extraordinarily successful reunions for the local Wyman and Hart families, with several hundred visitors attending from all over the country. This location can be viewed at “thewhitechurch.org”. Please follow this link to respond to the Blair Family Reunion |

Blandford Family ReunionsBlandford Family Reunion? It's time to think about a 2025 Family Reunion at the White Church of Blandford. The Wymans did it in 2017 and 2022. They timed it to coincide with the Labor Day Weekend Blandford Fair, but any time in the Summer of 2025 would work. It can be as simple as your family doing the organizing and renting the church from us, or we can help in many ways; finding and contacting distant cousins, planning presentations, making reunion T-shirts and maybe even cookbooks. Let us know if you are interested and how we can help. There have been so many families that have been in Blandford for generations...Ackley, Blair, Boise, Burr, Campbell, Cook, Deane, Fowler, Haight, Hayden, Healy, Herrick, Knox, Loomis, Nye, Oatley, Peebles, Pease, Ripley, Robbins, Smith, Taggert, Tiffany, Watson, Wood, Wyman, and many, many more. All it takes is a few cousins to get it started. |
