The 1865 Diary of Mary (Knox) Herrick
Thomas and Mary (Knox) Herrick lived in Blandford and had ten children. Mary's diary starts with her reflecting on the death of their 5-year-old daughter Hattie on December 31, 1863. Thomas and Mary will lose two more daughters before the decade is up. This diary gives a glimpse into one family in Blandford and their daily struggles and celebrations.
