Come off quite cold. H carried me up street. I got 25 cts of medicine Dr. H and went down to R in mail team. Took cars to S. Walked down to Sules, found Abbie there with a very bad throat. Lissa and ? were there. Paid Dr. N 25 cts, 50 cts to Mr. Mann, 55 cts for cars. *Translation - her son, Henry took her to where she bought medicine. She then rode with the mail team to Russell where she caught the train to Springfield where she walked to the home of her daughter Ursula where her other daughter Abbie was as well as her daughter Melissa 'Lissa.' Mary has already losyt three daughters so when a a family member gets sick it is a huge concern to her.
