Henry and James both staid last night. He still lives. Henry took caret first part and the last. Henry went up home. J went to W place. James (?) come and staid till G got back. He is very bad. Monday, January 29, 1872
Snowing and blowing. Wm drawed two loads of wood then it blowed so he stopped. Mr. Parks come for Henry to go home and see about his sheep. Wm went home too. He (Father) is somewhat deranged. H got back before night. 11 weeks today since he went upstairs. Sunday, January 28, 1872
Henry and James both staid with him all night. He is so bad. Mrs. Osborn and Mrs. (?) both called. Wm, George and Walter come. Wm staid. Charlotte and Rose come. Wm helped to take care. Saturday, January 27, 1872
Let Dr. N have $10.75. Henry went home because selectmen meet this afternoon. About 11 we thought Father dying. Friday, January 26, 1872
Father is so bad. George come over and see him an hour. He seems failing. Dr. come about 4 and staid 3 hours. Henry took care of hime first part and J the last. His bowels moved. Thursday, January 25, 1872
I wrote a letter to Sule but did not send it this morning. It don’t seem as though Father could not live through the day. Sent the letter by Dr. at night. Wm. went home. Wednesday, January 24, 1872
Charlie carried Charlotte home. Wm come and went to chopping wood sled length over west. Wm paid the interest on his notes. Put it all into one of $300. Tuesday, January 23, 1872
Father sent Henry after E. W. Shepard and made his will. E. W. Shepard, Edson Osborn and Charles Alexander witnessing it. A trying day for me. Sunday, January 21, 1872
Father is in distress with his bowels. Sent for Dr. at noon. Got them moved. Wm come and staid till morning, H here. *I posted January 22 by mistake yesterday. |
