Wednesday, February 7, 1866 Good sledding. Father goes twice a day. Em gone to card machine ball with Ruillie (?) Bates. *By 'good sledding' I'm sure that she was talking about the roads being good for the sleigh, not that her husband went out to a nearby hill twice that day to slide down the hill.
