Father went to Westfield with a calf, got home at noon. Brought another man, Aldrich. Mr. Britton went in afternoon and worked for Wm. Hinsdale. Called at Mr. O’s with Betsy. Friday, July 27, 1866
Lowry, come off about 10 but Cady the hired man went off. Father mowed in cider mill lot. Britten did not come. Em got home school. Thursday, July 26, 1866
Father don’t feel able to mow with horses. Bell went up North St to see school. Got home. Luthera and Eunice called. Wednesday, July 25, 1866
They worked at hay in the Gomery (?) lot. Come a shower about 4 o’clock. Father is all worked out driving so.
