Went out shopping. Got 3 diary, 25 cts. each, 7 skeins of cotton 2’ …cloth at Rockwoods then went over to Will.. found them all well. Father and L went over to Longmeadow. He has got a black boy to take home.

Wednesday, November 29, 1865
Started with one hog, butter, turnips and cheese. Abbie, Father and myself got there about 11. Very cold. Father sold butter for 50cts. Got cotton cloth at 25 and 30 its. Had the ? stole. Tuesday, November 28, 1865
Butchered two hogs, salted one. Going to Liss tomorrow. (Trimmed all the fat?). Got very tired. Felt badly. Eunice come in eve. Monday, November 27, 1865
Girls washed. C Black come. Liss and Bess went with her to Mr. Burdicks. Emerson and C and Wells Ed Bischoff, H Lewis wife, sister and a gentleman. Em colored her dress. We all got very tired. Snowed some. Sunday, November 26, 1865
Went to church. Home at noon and back with Curtis Black and Betsy Parker. Girls went to meeting. Saturday, November 25, 1865
Baked one? Put on a quilt for Bessie and girls and I quilted it ip. Father went to depot. Mr. Briton over here. |
