Father went to Westfield. H moving. Girls done a fortnight wash. I baked some. Went up to C. We called on (Henry and S.)

? Gone out. F C Knox. H come down. Got a yoke and some things. Father sent me up after ? He wouldn’t let them go changed (?) W W T in eve. Thursday, September 28, 1865
Winfield (or Warfield) went over to where his father was born. I ran up to H a few minutes. They are going to move this week. Miss Blair come. Wednesday, September 27, 1865
Mr. and Mrs. Pratt come and staid a few hours. Mr. Howes went. Bess is with them. Miss Blair come. Tuesday, September 26, 1865
Folks going to fair. I went in afternoon. Cousin Winfield Knox from Canton H E come. John was here to tea together with Mr. K. Monday, September 25, 1865
Made a cheese and baked. Got so tired I felt sick. Mr. Howe, Sul, and Mary and Lemmie come. Sunday, September 24, 1865
Rained some. Got me a pair of shoes. 2.85 for them. I did not go to church. Singing School in evening. Saturday, September 23, 1865
Come home, made cheese and done up work. Went to meadow in afternoon. Got the carpet. Left it up to Emersons to be put in the fair. Friday, September 22, 1865
Husked out the (pop?) corn. In the night called out at 1 o’clock to Hs. Jennie was choked up like croup. Milked for L in morn. Thursday, September 21, 1865
Got a letter from Lib. Bessie has gone to milk up to Henrys. Abbie stays nights. H is gone. |
