James went to W with beef and eggs. C rode up street with him. Father slept in the forenoon. In afternoon he was restless and discouraged. H came then Wm and Wm watched. W - Westfield? C - Charlotte? H - Henry? W - William Nye, daughter Emma’s husband? *I'm wondering if on January 4 they 'killed the bull' to sell the meat to pay the doctor bills. James may have taken it to W to sell. On Jan 1 they paid the doctor $61 and had already paid $10. $60 then would be about $1,600 today.
